NOTE: PREVIOUS AUCTION CANCELLED DUE TO HURRICANE HARVEY. NOTE THAT RESERVE $ ELIMINATED AND NEW LOWER STARTING PRICE. BUY THIS BOAT BEFORE OWNER SENDS IT TO YARD TO BE DISMANTLED AND CANNIBALIZED FOR ITS VALUABLE ENGINES, DRIVES AND OTHER COMPONENTS. GREAT PROJECT BOAT FOR RESTORATION OR INVESTMENT FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN BREAK APART TO SELL ENGINES AND DRIVES FOR A SUPER PROFIT. Unique Dealer re-engine in 1988 (new boat was delivered to dealer with factory gas engines in 1987 and wasn't ever sold as delivered). Two marine, turbocharged/aftercooled CAT 3208TA (375 HP ea.) engines dealer installed with Capital racing gears, #10 Arneson Surface Drives and Rolla props. Transmissions replaced in early 2000s with ZF IRM 280 PLs. When properly tuned boat has reached almost 40 knots. It will easily cruise in the low 30s. Only 3 known owners. Boat with current owner since late 1990s. US Coast Guard and State of Texas Registered. Anchored in South Shore Harbour Marina (League City, TX) for the past 15+ years. Super boat is in need of an owner who wants to buy at a super low price and restore it to its former glory, or cannibalize for valuable engines, transmissions and drives. Boat has seen limited duty over the last five years. Engines had been regularly started and ran well up to Harvey coming onshore (each have approximately 1000 hours); transmissions have only a few hundred hours of operation and Arneson Drives operated well last time used. Bottom paint is needed and full hull repaint would add value. It is probably time for new deck and interior upholstery. Diesel generator was scrapped and canvas replaced after Hurricane Ike in 2008. Forward and aft plastic windows are due for renewal. Transmissions were sealed but might have taken on a few ounces of water during Harvey. Port engine will not start (probably bad starter). This boat has tremendous value, even if someone were to buy it and part-out the engines, transmissions and Arneson drives as-is. Owner estimates that the engines could bring $5,000 to $9,000 each... or approximately $15,000 for the pair. The transmissions could sell for $2,000 to $4,000 each... or approximately $6,000 for the two. The Arneson drives could bring $10,000+ each, or $20,000 for the two. These 6 pieces alone could return $40,000+... then there is the hull, electronics and all the intrinsic components. Owner would love to bring the boat to his home port on the east coast of Florida... unfortunately it would cost over $10K to ship or almost the same $'s to cruise the 1500 miles. Pricing reflects present condition and eagerness to sell. Please note that the included pictures show boat from 2012 to 2016 (with decline in condition of windows, upholstery, etc.). IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO RELOCATE THE BOAT, PLEASE DO NOT BID UNTIL YOU GET A FIRM TRANSPORTATION PROPOSAL FROM A VIABLE VENDOR. Owner would consider Class B/C RV or other transportable vehicle as part of payment, use messaging for more info. IMPORTANT NOTE... BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTIONS AND RELATED COSTS. SALE CANNOT BE CONTINGENT ON ANY POST BID ACTIVITIESOn Jan-26-18 at 07:20:56 PST, seller added the following information: In an effort to provide full disclosure, I have added in the first 3 pages of the recent Marine Survey that I commissioned for my insurance claim after Hurricane Harvey. I only provided the text portion as the last 5 pages are photos. I will be happy to provide the full report in PDF format on request.
