Please read carefully. I will describe the boat in as much detail as I can. Any questions are welcomed and encouraged. The boat is a 1985 Bayliner Capri with a 2.1 liter Volvo. I purchased the boat in 1987 as the second owner. I used the boat about 25 times a season until 1997. From 1997 till 2004, I used the boat about 10 times a season. I serviced and maintained the boat each season as described in the service book. Boat was always stored under cover. I never had any major issues with the boat other than normal maintenance. The boat will pull two adult skiers slalom or two inflatables with no problem. In 2005 I never took the boat out of storage where it stayed until now. I suddenly got old and didn't have the time or the ability to ski any longer. Kept thinking I would use it again, but didn't, so its time to sell. So much for the history, time for the present. HULL: The hull is solid and in excellent shape.Decorative red pin stripe has faded and is coming off. There are 2 small chips in the gel coat each less than 1/2 inch. One is on the bow tip and one is on the stern. See pictures (look larger in the pictures than they are). This is cosmetic and easily filled. One was caused from dropping a cooler on it, other bumping a metal dock when loading boat. UPHOLSTERY: Seats we redone in 1999 and are in good shape still. Only upholstery that was not replaced in 99 was the padded surround along the sides and bow. Sides are still good, bow pad starting to weather and crack but still has a few good season before replacement is necessary. There is two small tares in the stern pad (see pictures). The two center chairs fold into tanning areas. The engine cover also makes a tanning area. See pictures. Floor is in good shape throughout. TRAILER: Trailer is in excellent shape. Hubs have bearing grease buddies. Tires hold air but are dry rotted and will need replacing soon. Hitch is 2 inch ball and boat can be pulled with small 4wd truck or any full size truck. Trailer is also 1985 model BC19. Light connector is flat 4 prong plug. WHATS INCLUDED: Boat, Trailer, Stern Light, Extra Propeller (never used - remanufactured ), New Exhaust Boot, Volvo Shop Manual. NO BATTERY IS INCLUDED. ENGINE AND OUT DRIVE: The Engine is a 2.1 L SOHC Volvo 4 Cylinder (I think its 120 or 125 HP, don't remember which one). Out drive is model 270 Volvo. When last used, there were no issues with either the engine, or out drive other than the leaky exhaust connector. I purchased a new connector at the end of the season and never installed it, however; it is included. The boat/engine has been in storage for 10 years and will need servicing to make it operational. Good thing about this engine is; it is old school and doesn't require an electronic engineer to service it. It has a carburetor, and points and uses NO computers to control the engine. Before storage, plugs were removed and several squirts of oil placed in each cylinder and plugs were replaced. Battery was removed, and sea water jacket drained. I did not clean engine or compartment in photos so you could see exactly what it looks like without covering anything up to hide it. SERVICING: I am NOT a certified mechanic, however I have been servicing my equipment for many years. If you or someone in your family is mechanical; using the service manual which is included and your mechanical ability, this should not be that difficult. The following is what I would do, for starters, to bring the engine back into service: New battery, remove plugs and squirt 3 or 4 squirts in each cylinder, let stand for 20 minutes or so and crank engine for about 4 revolutions and then oil again and let stand while you do other things. Change engine oil and filter. Change out drive oil which this is easy on a Volvo. Drain any fuel from the gas tank and replace with fresh gas. Replace fuel filter. Grease all grease fittings especially the GIMBAL BEARING (Grease fitting that requires 20 strokes with grease gun (must be done each season)). Clean and gap the points and clean distributor cap and rotor. Turn over engine several revolutions to expel the oil in the cylinders and replace plugs. Turn over a few more times to clear rest of oil in cylinders. If all goes well, you should be done. There could be several other things that could need attention that may have failed from age so I advise you to talk to a mechanic. I also encourage you to come and look at the boat, as descriptions and photos may not answer your questions. This boat is a great fixer upper. You be the judge. Welcome any questions. WHAT I HAVE CHECKED: I connected a jump starter unit and checked the following: Engine is NOT seized, starter works as it should, boat lights work. Horn, bilge pump runs (did not test with water), blower, foot lift and volt meter all work. Forgot to check radio. Steering works as it should and NOT seized, Throttle cable and shift cable work as they should. I know this was a lot of reading - just wanted to answer as many questions as possible but I am sure I missed some so please contact me. I sleep between the hours of 4 and 11:30 AM so messages will not be answered during that time. I will respond as soon as possible as my job permits. Thanks For Looking Payments: $100.00 PayPal Deposit Required Within 48 hrs of Auction Close. Cash, or Certified Funds for Balance at Pick Up. AS IS WHERE IS NO RETURNS On Jun-11-15 at 14:14:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Cleaning up around the house and found a new raw water pump impeller that I think is for this boat. It will be included with the boat. Also, thought this should be mentioned. Boat ownership transfer in MIssissippi, is achieved through a Notarized Bill of Sale and Ownership transfer registration through the Mississippi Dept of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks. I didn't completely think the auction end time through, as I can not get the bill of sale notarized until I know the buyers information and no one will be open until Monday morning. If you wish to pick the boat up on Saturday or Sunday, I'll give you an un-notarized Bill of Sale and letter to get you home. Then I will mail the Notarized copies certified mail Monday morning. If this is not acceptable please do not bid. Thank You
