This is a great Cobia Fish / Ski boat that is perfect for the right person. Me and my wife inherited this boat from her grandfather three years ago. The boat was terribly oxidixed and the interior was rotten when we got it. We have worked on this boat on and off for 3 years to get it where it is today. This is by no means a new boat but we have put alot of TLC into the boat to get it where it is today. As you'll see from the pictures, it looks like a pretty nice boat now. Here is a list of what we have done so far: Wet sanded the exterior to bring out a pretty nice paint job. Could use a little more sanding and elbow grease to get rid of some more oxidation but it looks 1000% better than it did. Ripped out the old interior down to the floor joists Put a new floor in. The front part of the boat used to have a lounging area but I put a platform across it which now has a pedestal mount for a fishing seat Put in new marine carpet New decals Hand built a new motor box which is extremely sturdy. I put a pedestal mount in the center which accommodates a fishing seat. I weigh 210lbs and it doesn't flex any with me on it. Hand built lids beside motor box for access to battery, etc.. Has a new cranking battery New bilge pump Replaced all seats, pedestals and mounts. There are three folding seats (driver, passenger, 1 extra for front or back...see pics) as well as two jump seats Just had the motor tuned up, plugs changes, carb adjusted, oil changed, etc Just replaced passenger side wheel hub Takes on no water whatsoever While all of that being done, the boat is not perfect. In an effort to disclose everything, this is what is wrong with the boat: The boat runs good, just had it at the lake today but I think the carb needs to be rebuilt or adjusted again The speedometer doesn't work. When my dad has followed me in his boat, he says this boat runs about 38mph w/ 2 adults and 2 kids. The line may just need to be blown out, not sure The gas guage doesn't work. The sending unit has been confirmed as working but the gauge is bad and needs replacing The radio is missing. Was going to replace it but I just listen to iHeart Radio on my phone and it works just as good. The passenger side trailer fender has a few holes in it from rust. This is the same side that had the wheel hub replaced due to rust. The driver side fender is fine. There are 12 rollers on the trailer. Probably half are cracked and will need to be replaced soon. The springs look kind of rusty....they may need to be replaced. Hangars look pretty good. There are a few imperfections in the fiberglass. I have taken tons of pictures so you can see everything. I have done my best to describe everything. I have the title in hand for the boat. I do not have a title for the trailer. The boat came from Florida where trailer titles are not required. All you would need to do is get a serial number to stamp into the trailer, take it by DMV, get them to vertify it then get your tag.....or you can just tow it around without a tag like I have and take your chances :o) It's really easy procedure. If you've every bought a hand built trailer or one of the Foy trailers, you know what the procedure is. Again, it still needs some TLC but will make a nice boat for someone. I'm just selling it because we haven't used it half as much as we planned to and I don't want it to sit after having so much done on it. If you buy it, don't expect a new boat but you can expect a project that's about 75-80% completed. I wanted to put a trolling motor on the front and use it for bass fishing. I can't allow the boat to be taken to the lake and tried out but will be glad to crank it here with the water ears and run it for you. I do have the boat for sell locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. Please buy with confidence....I have 100% feedback on over 80 transactions. Thanks for looking!
