Description

1984 Eagle Tramp Trimaran Older Ian Farrier designed folding Trimaran. Not sure if this is the “Super Tramp” but has some modifications and upgrades. If it isn’t, it’s modified enough to put it in that class. 34’ Rotating Mast, with diamond shrouds, and running back stays. Full battened main, with a clipped top. Running back stays. Had a bowsprit with double head stays, but P.O. cut it off. I still have it, and it could be welded back on. I just installed a Schaffer Pro furl, furling gear forward for a trip to the Key’s this year. Over sized Rudder (I have the original also) plus a custom Aluminum stern rail with a boarding ladder. Boat sails well, is stable, tracks beautiful, no helm, and points high. I don’t have a bad word for this boat. Good boat that I’ve had for many, many years. Just picked up a Dovekie, and still have a WindRider 17, misc. sailing Kayaks, and just have too many boats. Time to move on. Boat is in good condition for a 25 plus year boat. A few chips and dings here and there, but in overall good condition. Could use a good compound and wax. Main is crispy, head sail is in fair condition with a new #5 luff installed for the furler, but is short as I moved the headstay forward. Standing rigging is fair, as is the running rigging. You could go cruising now, but if Hawaii is on the agenda, I would replace both. If you use the “Buy it Now” I will throw in a 500.00 dollar Bimini, and a couple of hundred dollars worth of Ground tackle, (Bruce hook, with chain and rode) and a 2000 dollar 5 H.P. Nissan 4 stroke O.B. with tank, that pushes the boat at several knots on half throttle and sips gas. Always flushed with fresh water, great condition. Also will throw in a Spinnaker and sock that came off of an F-27 that I owned a few years ago. A bit long for this boat but will work as the mast is longer than stock. Wind the boat up on a downwind run. (Remember, this is if there is no haggling and use the “Buy it Now”). Otherwise they are off the table. Trailer is in decent condition. Bearing Buddies, New spare tire, and current tires have decent tread on them. I would have no problem driving it cross country. Just made a 2200 mile RT down to Key West earlier this year. I have a clear title in my name for the Boat, trailer, and even the Nissan O.B. I will consider delivery, if the buy it now price is taken, Boat is paid in full, and we agree on a delivery price. East or West Coast. Boat, Trailer, Nissan, is sold “As is, Where is” I’ve been a multi huller for years, and have owned a 37’ Sea Runner (Jim Brown) Spent most of the 90’s cruising Baja, Mainland Mexico in it. 27’ F-27 (Ian Farrier) 20’ Tramp Tri (Ian Farrier) 17’ Wind Rider 17 (Jim Brown) 16’ Wind Rider 16 (Jim Brown) A couple of Seda Ocean going Kayaks………… And now a 21’ Dovekie (Phil Bolger) Sharpie monohull. The tramp has been one of my favorite vessels. It is easy to rig, easy to sail, points high, little to no helm and is easy and fast to sail. Been a good boat.
