1974 Lowe Jon Boat, 16' with trailer 2000 model 25HP Mercury outboard trolling motor no battery runs good needs: electrical work and carpet Update to questions asked: The hull has a few dents, dings, and scratches. The tires have good tread but some dry rotting. The trolling motor works fine, it has 5 speeds and only the top 3 speeds work. The title is clear on the trailer and there isn't any title for the boat sense it is only 16' (not required in Indiana). The trailer is mechanically sound; however the lift on the tongue needs replaced, the rollers need replaced, and the pull up ratchet needs replaced. The floor of the boat has a weak spot but the upper deck still seems solid. The wheel bearings were fine the last time I pulled it last year. But I do have a new wheel bearing that I will throw in. I think the motor is considered a short shaft sense it only measure 22" from the top of the transom to the center of the propeller shaft. I did replace the transom wood last year so you should be good there. I started the motor for the first time this year about 5 weeks ago and it took 6 or 7 pulls to start. When I had it on the water last year with me and a friend it ran 24 MPH; according to my Garmin. It does seep some water around the bolts I used when replacing the transom; I would guess .5 gallons per hour. The boat definitely needs some tender loving care; paint, some floor wood, wiring, and carpet. Please do not assume anything about the boat; ask the questions. The motor is worth $1400 and up on other auctions by itself. Myself, I would have no issues taking the boat out on the water tomorrow; just not at night because the before mentioned electrical in which involves the running lights.
