NO RESERVE DEAL!!! BOAT NEEDS SOME TLC AND WILL BE A GREAT DEAL!!! 82 HOURS ON OVERHAULED ENGINES!!! DEALERS AND WHOLESALE BUYERS ARE WELCOME TO BID! VERY LOW BUY-IT-NOW PRICE!!! This is an outstanding opportunity to obtain a high quality sport fisherman with what I consider “great bones” at a bargain deal. Although her core components appear good (if not great) to me, she does need some updating and improvements. This Bertram comes equipped with a pair of Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines. These series Detroits are known for being very reliable and relatively easy to repair & maintain. BOTH ENGINES APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN OVERHAULED RELATIVELY RECENTLY. The hoses and hose clamps are all fresh which is a good indicator of an overhaul. The engine hour meters read only 81/ 82 (Port/ Starboard, respectively)! During my trip to NJ to see this Bertram, I started and ran both engines. They both started right up and sounded excellent. I have a video of them running and I can email a link to an interested buyer. The retail cost to overhaul these engines should have been close to $50,000 in itself. Our buy-it-now price is over $10,000 less than the cost of an overhaul alone! While running the engines, we noticed a leak coming from the water cooler on the port engine. The buyer will want to repair the leak. I also recommend that the diesels receive an annual maintenance servicing prior to re-commissioning. (Including water pumps/ impellers, belts, fluids, filters, etc.) The generator is a Northern Lights diesel. The hour meter for it shows just 1060 hours. The generator cranked like it should during my visit, however, it did not start. There is not any fuel in the tanks and we were not able to hook it up to our 5-gallon external tank like we did with the engines. With this in mind, we are stating that the operational condition of the generator is unknown. There are a number of electronics on this Bertram. In the current days of high tech electronics, I would consider these units outdated and in need of upgrading. For the lucky winner, we will supply two brand new Raymarine E90W TOUCHSCREEN multifunction displays/ chartplotters in their original boxes for just $1,900 for BOTH UNITS. The debtor apparently removed some items (or had them stored offsite for winter) and they are now missing. Here is a list of the obvious items that I found are in need of attention: The boat is winterized and will need to be de-winterized at commissioning The batteries have been removed from the boat and will need replacement (four 8Ds and two group 27s) The fuel filters have been removed from the boat and will need replacement The cooler on the Port engine will need to be resealed/ repaired as it leaks The deck hatches are missing and new ones will need to be fabricated The television was removed (looked to be a LCD TV) The helm chairs are missing, as are the bridge cushions Fuel will need to be added Coast Guard required safety items will need to be added (lifejackets, flares, etc.) Cosmetically, this Bertram needs to be cleaned and waxed. The gelcoat looks to still maintain a good underlying shine. The bottom paint is clean. The interior looks to be original and could use updating and/or cleaning. PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT A MODERN “PRETTY” BOAT… She will need work to get her there. Please understand that while this Bertram represents an outstanding value, it does need TLC and it is not a new vessel. (It also does not come with a $2,000,000.00 ++ price tag like a new one.) The present condition of this used vessel is not “retail worthy”, nor does it carry the price tag of $150,000 that many of these “full retail” used Bertrams command. Words & phrases that I would NOT use to describe this vessel include: Mint, turn-key, cream-puff, like-new, stunning. Words that I would use to describe this vessel include: Outstanding potential, fabulous deal, money-making opportunity, high quality… and, of course, BERTRAM. The bottom line is this; if you are seeking a brand new yacht, please do not bid. If you understand the value of this opportunity, then we encourage you to bid to your maximum level of comfort. This Bertram is being stored at Jersey Cape Yachts outside of Atlantic City, NJ. (About an hour drive from the Philadelphia airport.) The cost to keep her stored is $212 per month. The launch fee has already been paid. (Prepaid at haul out.) The people at Jersey Cape are very friendly and accommodating. They do not have any involvement with this sale and we ask that you please not bother them with sales questions. Given the situation, we are liquidating this vessel to the highest bidder. Plus, we are HAVE AN EXCEPTIONALLY LOW BUY-IT-NOW PRICE to sell this Bertram quickly. Our goal is to get this one sold and we sell many to those who are in a position to step up with a cash deal. We sell the majority of our vessels in this manner. Once this one is gone, it’s gone for good. This is an incredible opportunity that one lucky person will capitalize on.
